Breaking the silence

I've been on a lengthy hiatus,there's no denying on that matter.This post would be  easy and laid back,to  compensate for my absence.

Recent Christmas celebration had been one of the highlights of my trip to 'kampung'.Got the opportunity to meet my maternal grand-grandmother who had graced the earth for more than 9 decades.

Synopsis
This novel centres on Kamryn's life following the death of her best friend ,Adele.Adele,who has a young daughter (Tegan),succumbed to cancer.A few weeks before Adele passed away peacefully,Adele wrote a letter to Kamryn on her birthday,asking her a favour to take care of Tegan when she was gone.Kamryn would not have had hesitation if Tegan were not the child of Adele and Kamryn's ex-fiance,Nathan.Consequently,Kamryn formed a special bond with Tegan which is irreplaceable.

Review
I love how this novel is not predictable like your daily chic flick.This novel has a mature perspective on what life really is.I know of the issues which circulate the novel(backstabbing friend,taking care of child after one's mother's death) but never really got an insight on them.It also feels genuine as you could feel Kamryn's pain.All in all,I think that this novel is easy to decipher,a great read and significantly moving.If you want to read more reviews on the book,click here.
